Govt. of India has also taken initiative for transforming the National Employment Service to National Career Service which aims to provide a variety of Employment-related Services. Keeping this objective in mind, Govt. is establishing Model Career Centres across different States of the Country. These Career Centres aims to connect the youth with job opportunities in a transparent and effective manner through the use of technology as well as through counselling and training.

In Assam, Five (5) Nos. of Model Career Centres have been set up in Five (5) nos. of District Employment Exchanges - Guwahati, Nagaon, Jorhat, Haflong and Silchar.
